Our Impact on the Community

So far, the society has grown to a community of 250+ members across New Zealand, providing students with exposure to finance, economics, and sustainable finance that they might not otherwise encounter. We have organised investment bank tours, run weekly tutoring sessions, and developed bespoke practice resources for 60+ students preparing for the NZ Economics Competition and the John Locke Global Essay Prize — with 14 members earning High Distinctions at the national level and 6 achieving top 10 regional performances at the World Economics Competition.

Beyond competition preparation, we have coordinated a sustainable finance speaker series featuring guests such as the CEO of Kiwibank, drawing audiences of 50+ students from five or more schools. The society is now led by a national board of six, reflecting our ambition to extend this impact well beyond our own campus
